George Nelson for Howard Miller Vintage Ball Clock - (Item #751)
Vintage Howard Miller wooden bodied Ball Clock with second hand designed 1948 by George Nelson and friends. This one has a had its DC mains motor replaced by a battery powered quartz movement leaving a few redundant holes in the back plate. It was originally "battle ship gray" but had also been horribly repainted in a paint that never set. We stripped it (retaining the original label) with the intention of repainting but liked the natural wood look.
Dimensions: 13.5-ins diameter
Condition: Previously replaced movement (keeps good time - and can be regulated) and recently stripped.
