Unusual vintage cast metal box with two thin cork lined compartments and teak veneer inlaid strips on the lid. Probably a cigarette box? At 4-lbs in weight it feels too heavy to be aluminum and is more likely stainless steel. It is unsigned and we can't find anything else like it.

Rare form of one of Jens Quistgaard’s cast iron candlestick set designs for Dansk (Denmark). Each S based candlestick is made from three separate pieces the cast iron base top screws into the cast iron base with a brass ring separator. Marked J.H.Q Denmark.

Early rare Jens Quistgaard design for Dansk a tall cast iron candlestick holder with seven adjustable candle arms. Each of the seven candle holders can be rotated about the central pole, which can be screwed in to tighten them in place. Each candle arm separated with a brass bushing. Picquot Ware (England) TB and JB tea and water jug/coffee pots designed in 1948 and 1949 respectively. Made of a highly polished aluminum magnesium alloy (one piece castings - machine finished) with wooden handles. These probably manufactured after 1960. (Manufacture of this range just re-started at the end 2005).

Very cool pair of vintage (probably 1950s) bookends, each featuring a seated reading man. All welded steel construction with black stained wooden heads and brass eyes.
