M.M .Verkuyl Republic Thunderchief F-105 Aluminum Model - (Item #1345)
A 1:50 scale all aluminum model of the Republic F-105 Thunderchief. The U.S.A.F. Thunderchief became operational in 1959. There were probably fewer than 10,000 of these models produced for Republic Aviation. (taken over by Fairchild-Hiller in 1965). This all polished aluminum model was contracted through Air-Parts International, a Dutch supplier firm, and carries a label which specifies that it was "Modeled by M.M. Verkuyl (Matthys M. Verkuyl, Badhoevedarp) Holland The Hague" and porbably produced in 1958. (Reference material from www.collectair.com who have more information and currently have one in better condition).
Dimensions: Actual plane is 16-ins long with 9-ins wing span
Condition: Carries ~90% of original decals with some nicks to leading wing and tail tips.
