Victor Vasarley Vase by Rosenthal Germany - (Item #92)

Huge Victor Vasarely (1908-1997) Op Art Rosenthal (Germany) Vase. This is probably the largest piece in the Rosenthal's Art Collection No 4. White porcelain with glossy glaze. Vasarely is generally considered to have been the father or original pioneer of "Op Art". The actual pattern on the vase is taken from part of an oil painting called "Supernovae" done between 1959 and 1961 at the very beginning of the Op Art period.
